Born in Cajun Country and raised in Texas, I currently reside in Florida, where the beaches are snowy white and the water is emerald green.

 

Living in the South, I have a deep appreciation for Southern cooking. From Tex-Mex, to slow-cooked Texas barbecue, to Louisiana’s spicy Cajun seafood gumbo. And of course, all of the other delicious Southern dishes. Like shrimp and grits, fried okra, mustard greens, and sweet corn bread with black-eyed peas.

 

But what I love the most about living in the south is Southern hospitality, where even strangers are treated like family. Come on in, sit a spell, and make yourself at home. Everyone is greeted with a warm welcome, and maybe even a piece of homemade pie.

 

With my fascination experiencing other cultures and exploring foreign lands, we have cruised all over the world, including the Caribbean, Iceland, Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, Australia, and even New Zealand.

 

As a photographer and writer, this gave me ample opportunity to capture the beauty of exotic landscapes and historical places. But my favorite photography experience was shooting rodeos. Being in the arena with horses almost trampling over me, as I tried to grab that perfect photo, was exhilarating.

 

After finishing one book and having it illustrated and made into an audiobook, I am currently working on another story. "Slipping through Time," is about time travel and murder. Time and time again, Jennifer tries to stop a maniac. But is time on her side? One day we will find out.
